I do not plan to build my own personal desktop PC for gaming and general use any time in the next few years due to student loans. Though as this is a friendly and relatively new forum, I just thought I would share my currently planned build to do my part to help build the community and received some feedback from those who wish to comment and give their opinions and advice.

Apologies for the sloppy components list. The table from Excel to Word to the forum did not go well. I will find somewhere in this forum topic to attach a copy of an .rtf file from Microsoft Word of the forum topic for those who wish for it to be easier to read.

It has been fun to post this forum topic!

Ok, I think it all looks pretty good however this close to a new chipset release its worth holding off to see if the newer chipset is any better, also a 60GB SSD really is not enough, even for a boot drive and a boot drive alone its a bit small, 128GB or even 90GB does nicely

Also if you buy Crucial RAM buy the Tracer stuff, the LEDs are awesome and can be turned off if you dislike them.

I plan to use Intel SRT and I believe that a 60GB SSD is the largest possible capacity, so a larger one is not an option if I decide with SRT.

The Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer's LEDs really are awesome, but I prefer the yellow stickers on the memory dims to match the colour scheme.

I'm pretty sure you can get yellow LEDs in some models but yeah I see your point, the RAM itself will stick out a bit, if you want yellow RAM have you seen the Mushkin Radioactive? aint much more yellow than that.

Also if you look at Zotac Nvidia Cards some of them have yellow accents as thats Zotacs colour scheme, will match build very well.
