I have a new Ryzen 7950 x build with a Corsair RM850x PSU.  The last thing to upgrade is my RTX 2070.  I do hobby level photo and video editing and play mostly strategy, RPG and MMO games.

 

I am looking for opinions between a 7900 xtx or a RTX 4080 upgrade.

 

Thoughts?

I dont think you can go wrong with either, personally I think its down to preference. They are both great cards and equal in performance according to Hardware Unboxed, he did a 50 game test and the 7900XTX was only 1% slower than the 4080 on average.   I will say that I really enjoy my RTX 4080 and I prefer the Nvidia ecosystem, RTX was not on my mind but its nice to have.
