Not really about power supplies, but I figure the people that hang out in this channel would know the answer.

What is the danger of plugging a UPS downline of a surge protector?

my plan is as follows:

Wall outlet feeds surge protector with 8 outlets. 7 of these outlets will feed whatever needs to be plugged in.

The last of those outlets will have my UPS plugged into it.

The UPS battery backup outlets will have the computer and screens plugged in.  There will be nothing plugged into the non-battery protected outlets of the UPS.
Is this setup fine?  I can't remember what the reasoning was, but for some reason I thought I have always been told not to daisy chain surge protected power strips.

It must be true, I read it on the internet...
