Any thoughts on this build?

Go to solution Solved by Dukesilver27-,

From a short googling session, AMD GPU does work with Unity, so there's no reason to go with RTX 3070 when RX 6800 XT is far cheaper and way faster.

I would spend a bit of money for cooler so you could PBO the 7700 to get closer to 7700X performance.

Changed the RAM to 6000 CL36, don't cripple AM5 with slow RAM.

P3 Pus 1TB for not much more instead of puny 500GB 970 EVO which is a terrible value.

High quality PSU, don't cheap out on PSU.

Total: £1595.32

Budget (including currency): £1600, can go slightly over

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Primarily gaming, with some unity work and programming

I've been wanting to upgrade from a 'gaming' laptop for a while now, and I finally have the budget to build a new PC. Still, the cheaper the better. I'm still undecided weather or not to go with AM5 given the high prices and the fact that AM4 components are cheaper every time I check. I need the 32gb of ram, but I'm willing to go for a less popular brand. I'm more than happy to swap to a equivalent/ worse gpu like the 6750 xt if it saves me a good amount of money. Keep in mind that I also need to find a monitor, case and windows 10 license. I also need some cpu cooler recommendations.

Thanks!
