I have a XFX RX580 I bought used that had one fan not spinning. I did a full deep clean of the card, replaced the fans, new thermal paste and pads. Installed drivers and the card works, but both fans don't spin. There is a blue light on the card so I'm not sure what that means. I just need the fans to spin and this things good as new.

Note: Only the GPU has issues. The whole PC works fine

Build:

AMD Ryzen 5600x @ 3.7Ghz

32GB DDR4 @ 3600Mhz Corsair Vengeance

B550 Gigabyte Aorus ITX Mobo

Silverstone 550W 80plus Bronze fully module PSU

WD Black 1 TB NVME SSD
XFX RX580

Edit: Forgot to mention I tried MSI Afterburner and manually adjusted fan speed, still no fix

By default, the fans won't spin in windows unless temps reach over a certain range, usually in the 55-60c range. After that then the fans should engage. You can also download MSI Afterburner and set a custom fan profile and turn the fans on that way.

if they dont spin at all, then sounds like somethings not right either with the board you bought or the fans.

I'll take it out and reseat the fans and try the original fans too. Hopefully it could possibly be a firmware fix or just a simple fix that I'm about to do
