mouse offset problem with stretched resolution and games

i play games on a stretched resolution. (native is 1080p, i play on 1440x1080 4:3 stretched)

and it was working fine but i reinstalled windows because ive been on the same windows install for about a year and there was a lot of cludder that id rather just factory reset.

once ive factory reset my pc and download all my games and drivers allat, games just dont work properly with a mouse selecting things

when im in game and playing normally everything is fine, but when im selecting things with a cursor, my cursor is way to the left of what it's actually clicking on.

specs: ryzen 5 1600, rx5700 xt (cpu bottleneck i know), 16gb corsair vengence, 1tb ssd

sounds like an issue in the settings....just double check.

some games have the issue if the resolution is other than the default. more modern titles seem to have less problems but not all.

ive tried resetting from native res to stretched and it didnt work.

it happens in fortnite and warzone 2 at least

i know this is totally late, but what worked for me, is enabling virtual super resolution, then before putting the resolution you want to play on in the windows settings, you put 2560x1440, and THEN your resolution. after that you can disable virtual super resolution again. you'll have to do these 2 or 3 steps everytime now, but it fixed that issue for me and i hope it did for you too!
