Is any 4.4mm 0.78mm 2-pin cable for IEM-s balanced?

191x7

As the title says...

I bought an Akliam PD4 amp&dac which has a 4.4mm balanced output and I am looking to improve my Truthear Crinacle Zero IEM-s.

This is the cable I am looking at:

A 4.4 balanced cable for the HD 560s I already ordered and it's on the way.

  • 4 weeks later...

In case you haven't bought the cable yet, I think that cable looks good for 3.5mm, I'm just skeptical of AliExpress in general, and them not even having a picture of the 4.4mm cable just puts me off. Also I don't know if you prefer 90 degree connectors or straight ones, but from what I've seen, generally speaking straight connections have better build quality. I bought this 4.4mm Tripowin Cable from Linsoul on amazon:

https://www.linsoul.com/products/tripowin-zonie?variant=42766193623257

https://www.amazon.com/Linsoul-Tripowin-Silver-Earphone-0-78-3-5mm/dp/B09Z6X6QSM/ref=d_pd_di_sccai_cn_sccl_3_4/146-4718328-4237651?pd_rd_w=hb84s&content-id=amzn1.sym.e13de93e-5518-4644-8e6b-4ee5f2e0b062&pf_rd_p=e13de93e-5518-4644-8e6b-4ee5f2e0b062&pf_rd_r=NFV1E7532YFANYXASH21&pd_rd_wg=Q4U2B&pd_rd_r=b5b469fa-2f10-4037-bb35-016dfcb3f928&pd_rd_i=B07ZQCJ7QC&th=1

If you don't have Amazon, Linsoul has worldwide shipping, and although I've never bought anything from them directly, they seem to have a good reputation among the Youtubers. The link should take you to the color I think looks best with the Truthear Crinacle Zero, but I think there's a few other colors that would pair nicely. I know $20 is a far cry from $9, but the cable is probably built better and the seller is more reputable. The only other thing I'd mention is that the cable is thick, but I think that is just a fact of balanced cables in general.

I did order the cable but it took a long time to ship, it will be here maybe next week.

But the PD4 has more than enough power for the Truthear Zero, I no longer have the feel that the sound is weak and lacking like on the Xonar U5, Realtek 1220 or the usb-c to 3.5mm small DAC.
