GPU artifacting

So I have been getting little white dots (about 1 or 2 pixels) flash for a split second here and there in random places on the screen. It looks worse when under load. My monitor and hdmi cable were working just fine on another PC, I tried reinstalling the drivers using ddu and reseating my gpu, but none of those worked. Do I have a defective mobo or gpu?

check that your GPU is not overheating? are the fans clean or clogged with dust dirt cats hair etc.

if the GPU is clean and temps are fine then GPU might be on it last legs.

can you possibly swap the gpus on the 2 PC.s to double check that the issues moves to the other PC and is solved on the one you are having issues right now ???

This is a brand new gpu and mobo, and I cant put it in the other system cuz there is only a low profile x8 slot. The hottest it gets under load is around 75°C. I can ask a friend if I can test it in his system.

What GPU is it?

 

Is the GPU being overclocked in any sort of way? Even if it is a stock OC? Does the GPU require extra power from the PSU or is it powered directly through the motherboard?

if your friend can test the card for you that would be very helpful. if the card has the exact same issue then as it is new just use the warranty and have it replaced.

It is an RX 6600 with the latest recommended drivers. I overclocked it for like 2 minutes and then set it back to the stock clock speed.

So I ran amd's auto detect driver installer and it installed the pro drivers (weird ik) and I'm not having any artifacting problems now.
