3060 Ti is not going to give you 1440p 60+ fps for all games, trust me.

At very least, go with RTX 3070, even then, within 1 or 2 years from now, RTX 3070 might not be able to do that anymore.

Either compromise on the CPU and get a better GPU, or stick with 13700K and get a 3070 for $800.

Your productivity work hardly need a lot of cores, so I think 13600K would do well enough, and gaming performance between 13700K and 13600K is only about 1-3%, why bother with 13700K.

@Dukesilver27- Appreciate your input, and thank you for your Amazon list. Its actually good list.

Apologise for not giving more information, I have PS5 on me, so i am not planning to play super heavy graphic game in my PC. Destiny 2 is my number one game right now and it should run 60+ FPS on 1440p easily with 3060Ti

But i get you. Having more powerful GPU is better for the future.

I personally picked i7 because "why not more power?"

If the performance gain (gaming or not) from i5 to i7 is marginal, then I am happy to run with i5 and dump the rest of the budget to a better GPU like you said.

Last question, is there any reason why not using be quiet PSU?

Thanks!

Well, I suppose it will, but $750 for a 3060 Ti when you could get a 3070 for $800, just does not sit right with me.

The PSU is just a matter of cheaper for the more, in terms of quality, they are equal, but the RM850e is 850W PSU for less than the bequite one, gives more value for your money.

@RyanWakileh that is awesome and sexy build bro. Unfortunately when i change it to AUD it goes around $4200 ish and the monitor price is not listed yet. So it will be around 4500+

I don't think I will go for i9 considering I do not need that much beast of a power yet. But its still a good list.

@Dukesilver27- Understandable. I been using Corsair PSU as well since 2014 and its treating me well. I will definitely think about it.

I might go for i5 and 3070 or 3080 at this rate. Thank you!

3060 ti on a plus 3k build? I made some changes, downsized you to a 13600kf and changed out the 3060 ti to a 3080. If you want to play Cyberpunk 2077 you want a good GPU.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

ok. so 1st off while that may play 1440p it wont be a fun experience. Here

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/8khxBj

$3302 aud

CPU: i downgraded the CPU to a 13600k, its still a beast of a cpu but its way cheaper. also went with K not KF as if you want your editing software to use Nvidia and intel to export videos quicker you need an Igpu

Cooler: i switched out your cooler for a cheaper air cooler that should still keep it cool. DO NOTE the 13600k will eat all cooling and run at its thermal throttle limit to push out more performance.

MBD: while you may not be overclocking your cpu you will be limiting it by choosing a board without overclocking capability.

Ram: while DDR5 is going down in price i would still recommend DDR4 for this as its way cheaper for similar perf. went with 4x8 3600 cl16, could go with 2x16 kit if you want to upgrade to 64gb in the future although for most production work and all gaming 32gb will be plenty. Could also downgrade speed to 3600 cl18 or 3200 cl16

Storage: while the samsung drive you picked out is really fast its not at the best price rn. I chose a faster yet cheaper drive for your budget. As for the HDD while Seagate is good you may want to go with one of the NAS drives from WD instead as they offer similar perf for less money. the drive i chose was WD red PLUS (make sure to get the RED PLUS not just the red. SMR vs CMR etc.)

GPU: the 3060TI will not run the frames at the resolution you want. AT MINIMUM you want a 3070 preferably a 3080. I was able to fit a 4070TI into the budget which will give you similar to 3090 levels of performance at 1440p

case: the bequiet case you chose is expensive and doesnt seem to have alot of airflow. The case i chose has a mesh front panel and comes with preinstalled rgb fans (if you dont like the rgb you can turn it off)

PSU: for this build i would recommend a MINIMUM 800w preferably 850w or 900w psu C tier or better on the PSU cultists tier list (https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/) the one chosen is B tier 850w which will be fine.

and finally the monitor. the monitor you chose while decent is expensive and outshined by the gigabyte M27Q in both refresh rate and price

overview:
Get Z690 or Z790 for the 13600k (and up) or look into a non overclockable CPU.
For 1440p MINIMUM GPU is 3070 preferably 3080 or 4070.
DDR4 is better for this application than DDR5 because of pricing
Make sure your drive is CMR not SMR (SMR can compromise your data)
Get good airflow case (Preferably with mesh front panel and included fans)
For PSU specc take the PCPARTPICKER estimated wattage and multiply it by 1.5x for the recommended psu wattage.

@Awesomon2234 How bad is 3060 Ti on 1440p? Because i am not looking for constant 144hz. Based on my experience, i am completely happy as long as its run more than 60 fps. And again, Future AAA heavy graphic game will go to my PS5 rather than my pc.

Its crazy that your list, with 4070Ti has a far smaller budget than mine.

Thank you for your input! I had a bad experience with water cooling, hence i stick to air cooling

The 3060ti will net you around 30-60fps at 1440p depending on the game. Minimum I would look for constant 60fps at 1440p in a majority of games at high settings would be 3070/3070ti.

Ik how crazy it can be when a pc is rightsized lol. Like i believe i said the parts you picked weren't bad they were just not the right price for you

Its fine if you don't like water cooling, for 13600k a high end air cooler will be fine although a budget aio would work better and for anything more powerfull i would recommend a budget-mid range aio.
