Hey everyone, I was just wondering whether there is something I should change about my current GPU temperatures.

I mostly play mw2 but have noticed that my GPU gets to about 70C average with a max core of 75C as well as 85C average hotspot and 95C max hotspot. I have 3 ml120 pros blowing straight into the GPU from the bottom of the case at 800 rpm. I have 3 more intake fans going through my radiator on the side of the case and 3 exhaust fans on the top of the case.

outside of changing thermal pads or paste, I’m not really sure what I can do or whether I should do something about these temperatures? The GPU fans spin up to about 75% which I would say is the maximum tolerable noise level.

95c if that is the max you hit you are fine as the chips are rated for 105c ddr6 if you exceed the 105c the chips will over time degrade.

but yes they are quite often toasty...

You can try the undervolt as that can reduce temps a little bit but just keep an eye on it and ensure that you do not start hitting 100c plus

if you are confident with tinkering renweing paste and adding good quality thermal pads is proven to drop temps on the cards by several degrees..most manufacturers have been using dirt cheap thermal pads ...

any guides on process for repasting and changing thermal pads? I wouldn't know where to buy thermal pads to be honest.

I revamped my MSI 3080 Surpim 10GB doing the following

I simply typed name of card into google like this

MSI RTX 3080 SUPRIM 10GB Thermal pad replacemet. solved within 2 minutes.

there are also some sites where they list the correct pad thicknesses.

I purchased Thermalright Extreme Odyssey thermal pads they come in a sheet so you can cut to fit. expensive but the reviews were good and my temps dropped 8c on idle and 12c when gaming. hotspot dropped by 7c if i remember correctly but it was a while ago and i then found an alphacool full cover water block on sale so went custom loop which was even better.
