@matt_ball4

3050 is a dud as far as GPUs. Does it work? Yes, but it's not a whole lot better than the 1650 / 1660. I would go for a 3060ti if you can swing it. If not, a used 2060 / 2070 / 2080 would be about as good as a 3060 / ti, but be sure you have enough PSU wattage for it.

Also, I have no intention of upgrading to Win11 for many reasons. There is spyware, bloatware and they're trying to tell you how you can and can't use your PC. I would stick with Win10.

Latest gen CPU is less expensive for better performance.

Stock cooler is fine for intended use.

Locked CPU are better prepared with B and H chipset motherboards. Z chipset motherboards are intended for unlocked CPU.

Current generations offer WiFi on motherboards at low or no additional cost.

Motherboard audio subsystems generally offer good quality audio.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

The mobo and cpu are a total mismatch. The CPU is weak and the mobo is strong, plus it's for overclocking/tweaking. Unless you need what that Z has, you should get a great B mobo instead. If you want to have extra ports and slots, then get an H mobo, which also may have tweaking/OC.

This mobo and many others include wifi and sound, so you don't need those cards.

If you are planning on playing a lot of different games, add another m.2 1TB SSD and install them to it.

I would suggest getting better fans, at least with PWM (4 pins). The Corsair ML120s are very good but about$20/fan in a pack. If you want to throw money at RGB, There are other options, including Corsair.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂
