I just wanted to know if anyone here had any experience or tips on what to buy.

I need a reliable 2-bay nas with no need for any crazy media tv solution (just for backup)

I have looked on some of these buy if you have any other tips just hit me;)

They're all good for your use. Get whatever is cheapest.

 

I recommend the Synology system, purely because they have excellent customer service and, as users on here can attest to, good technical support.
