Hi, I ordered parts for my new pc, and im wondering about things that should happen after assembly

The parts are:

Corsair Obsidian 650D Midi Tower(black),
Intel Core i7-4770K
ASUS Maximus VI Formula, Socket-1150
ASUS GeForce GTX 780Ti 3GB PhysX CUDA
HyperX Fury DDR3 1866MHz 4GB Red(x2)
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB BK OEM
WD® Desktop Black 2TB
Corsair RM750, 750W PSU
Corsair H100i Hydro Series CPU cooler

Im fairly confident its all compatible, but please comment if theres something I should/shouldnt have bought. So i can learn for my next build.

To the question: Im wondering what tests I should do(and links for the downloads)after building and before I start overclocking, and tests I should use during the overclocking process. Maybe someone could point me to a good guide/walkthrough.

Im pretty new to overclocking, coming from a hp with locked bios. I have only overclocked graphics cards.

I want to get this right and not break anything.

Im not asking for building advise, as I already have a fair knowledge of how to build it, its only the tests and overclock i need help with.

Hopefully someone understood what im asking, english is my second language, and im sorry if there is typos or bad formulated sentences.

Thanks in advance.

Everything will work just fine...nice build. The powersupply is overkill in your build's current state, but is ok if you plan to SLI that 780ti. If you're just gaming, a 4670K would have been just fine, but I don't know what you'll be doing with your PC.

Before you overclock, I would stress test your system at stock settings just to make sure all is good.

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow; Motherboard: MSI ZZ490 Gaming Edge; CPU: i7 10700K @ 5.1GHz; Cooler: Noctua NHD15S Chromax; RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB 3200MHz; Graphics Card: Asus RTX 3080 TUF; Power: EVGA SuperNova 750G2; Storage: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB; Crucial M500 240GB & MX100 512GB; Keyboard: Logitech G710+; Mouse: Logitech G502; Headphones / Amp: HiFiMan Sundara Mayflower Objective 2; Monitor: Asus VG27AQ

Yeah it should be good

As for OC, I'm new to it myself, so I can only say this, let your system run normally without overclock for a few days before OC it, so you can be sure that there's nothing wrong with the CPU, then just try to push it bit by bit and use either Intel Extreme Tuning Utility or whatever stress test you want (I heard that Prime 95 isnt good with these CPU) to see if it's stable or not, keep a close eyes on the temperature, that's all there to it :)

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll find out how to do the overclock, Linus has a video on haswell overclocking if I remember right.

I build it and im very happy with it, the red theme worked out for me. I'll see if I post a picture here or in some appropriate part of the forum.
