Multiple monitors to laptop

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

depending on how nice the IT staff at work is, and how much you work from home, ask them if you can borrow a HP type c dock from work to connect your displays.

if not that, my bet would probably be on "sort by price cheapest TB dock with a HDMI or DP port". to connect the second monitor.

Hello there,

I'm seeing if it's at all possible to connect two displays i already own to my work laptop that has a single HDMI port and multiple USB3.1 type -c with thunderbolt support.

Laptop: HP EliteBook 840 G7 Notebook https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06680927

Monitors:

ROG SWIFT PG349Q https://rog.asus.com/au/monitors/32-to-34-inches/rog-swift-pg349q-model/spec/

has 1 display port and 1 HDMI

ASUS VE248H https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=16558&cPath=1087

has 1 HDMI and 1 DVI port

open to upgrading secondary 24in monitor if it means i can have both monitors connected to my main PC and work laptop at same time. Just trying to see what my options are

any help is appreciated.

+1. OP also has option to buy thunderbolt based dock for a cleaner run and easier transfer between mobile and desktop usage if they want to.
