Help, audio Pc new build having tons of latency issues

Jislas

Hi everyone, I just finished building my new audio pc. Unfortunately, i have encountered tons of issues with it, at first I thought it was becasue of my sample rate and also the quality of audio which was 4800khz but decided to unplug my audio interface and connect straight to the monitor with the hdmi cable, and im still seeing dpc spikes so now im sure its not the audio monitor or software since this spikes happen with youtube and without playing any audio. The build is as follows :

i7 12700k
asus z690-f
corsaire vengace ddr5 5200 32gb
wd sn850x m.2 nvme 2tb
crucial m.2 sata in the port m_4 of the motherboard
1 970 ssd samsung
1 hdd from an old apple computer.
audio interface is Komplete audio 6 km1

by the way running windows 10 on high performance.

i used process lasso to put the audiodgx.exe to core sets 0,2,4,6,8...etc and priority high, as well as NKi6.exe to those same cores and priority high.

Also, check the firmwares under Firmware.

PD reffers to USB Power Delivery. It affects USB devices.

Ok dont want to  jinx it but so far I have had some issues only with the audio interfance not with latencymon. This requires further testing but so far it seems that the

  • 2 months later...

for any one encountering this issue, the problem is the dumb implementation of cpu schedule task manager. The efficiency cores that are in this new cpus are literally being passed the audio tasks. They start with the performance cores then they send then to the efficiency cores, which creates the audio glitches. In order to make your computer work with audio programs you need to disable the efficiency cores, making the new cpus not really great for music production. On top of that there is not a lot of docs on this issue.
