Controller gaming on PC

When playing games on the epic games launcher I notice that the keybinds arent' usual and hwen playing constantly switch from keyboard to controller. When playing gam,es on steam this problem doesn't happen. Do I need to change stome setting iun steam?

Steam can be set to use controller as default.  Usually there is a setting in the games settings somewhere.  You can map buttons and whatnot.  Steam also had a thing called a steam controller which had round trackpads instead of sticks. I like it.  Many did not. It had some odd settings though so that affects some steam games even though they no longer sell the thing.
