Headphone Wire Too Long

I recently got some Sennheiser 558's and i find the headphone wire to be way too long for my liking. Can I swap the wire out without losing any sound fidelity? If so, can you guys recommend me some shorter replacement wires?

Why not just neatly fold up what you don't need and cable tie it? That's what I do.

I second that, tying them up is faster and cheaper

Have you considered the cheapest option?

Is it XLR or just a plain 3.5mm plug? As long as the cable you find to replace is good quality you should be fine.

I think the HD 5xx series uses a 2.5mm plug on the headphone side. If you can find one that fits it shouldn't degrade audio but the problem is finding a wire that will fit.
