Windows 8.1 updating failed

So Im about to shut down my pc when I see "update and restart" so I decide to click on it. Its running through the process and then it starts to get really slow at about 80-90%. I just leave it to update and then later it pops up with "windows can't complete updates, windows undoing updates. Do not shut down your computer" What should I do? Whats the problem

 

 

 

 

And also the second problem it wont let me go to the PC settings. I click on change PC settings and it brings me straight to the windows start up screen. I drag my cursor to the top left corner and I click on whats running and it just brings me to the start menu again. OMG I need help!!!

Yeah, I had the same issue with Windows 7, but it was cracked, so I did it up to 8.1 and it works fine.

Uninstall all anti-virus software, and then reboot the machine + install updates. Windows 8.1 will fail to install if there is an anti-virus installed, it is a common issue.

If that still fails then set your Bios to Load Optimised Defaults and attempt the install again.

 

I've had trouble upgrading 8 to 8.1 due to AV and also due to OC settings.
