HDMI 2.1 switch

Invanaar

Hello all,

I'm trying to find an HDMI 2.1 switch because I have more HDMI 2.1 sources than I have ports in my TV and I want to use all these sources to be used at their full 4k 120hz 4:4:4 goodness.  Bought some weird Chinese 2.1 switch from Amazon, and it had good reviews, but I find the sound gets messed up frequently. I'm hesitant to exchange for another because I only see offerings from cheap Chinese companies and nothing from known, reputable brands.

Do y'all know of any actual quality options? I'm tempted just to get a 2.1 female to female connector and switch the cables manually honestly.

Edit: I have 3 devices I'm trying to connect, but I could probably make do with 2 if need be

3. I can probably make due with 2 tbh though, if need be

How much are you willing to spend and are there any size constraints. If you are having trouble finding a reliable switch, perhaps an AVR will be able to do the trick.

Under $200, and no size constraints. I can get an avr if need be, but I didn't  even know if they even made them this cheap, or for this purpose

If the AVR comes with HDMI inputs and an HDMI output / EARC port, then you can use it as an HDMI switcher, just think each time you swap inputs on the AVR. But I'm pretty sure it will be hard to find something in that price point for AVRs that have multiple HDMI 2.1 ports.

Gotcha, thanks! That makes sense.

You might look into the Denon AVS-3. They advertise it as working “with Denon 8K receivers” but I have seen reviews indicating direct hook up to sound bars and TVs as working fine.
