Hey there all! I have a quick question that I hope someone can answer, I tried researching this one on my own but had no luck… maybe I just suck at googling.. ANYWAYS. I recently upgraded to the 4090 gigabyte card from Nvidia. I was expecting to have to use three eight pins, I have a brand new build and this is a Corsair 1000 watt platinum power supply in case that comes in handy, but to my surprise the card required four! So Corsair only sends three of the 8 pin PCIE connectors, they have piggy backs on them but all of my research tells me that’s a no no. So my first question is, with this being my option should I just have one piggybacked? Second question. I ordered the cable mod pro pack that came with the 4090 adapter and  the rest of the cables work with my PSU.(plus after the reviews of the gigabyte adapters I wanted to be safe and not burn my house down…) However after it had already been shipped I realized their cord from the card to PCIE 8 pins only has three instead of four. Will this be a problem? I was planning on using the cable mod cables to supplement the last piggy backed cord but… *scratches head* thank you in advanced guys!

The "do not use piggy back connectors" is a recommendation not a rule, mostly to cover people who have cheap PSUs with poorly rated cables.  Its ever so slightly arguably better to not use them to reduce voltage drop in the cables, but in practice makes zero difference.

The official Corsair 12pin HPWR cables only use TWO connectors at the PSU, exactly the same as using two stock cables with the 2x8 pin on the other end.

Not sure about the cablemod cable though, I specifically got the Corsair 12pin HPWR cable for my PSU.

You should have no problems using 2 cables from the PSU to connect to 4 of the 8 pins on the adapter.
