So I need some storage solution help.

Here is a little back story.

I have/had a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31000340AS 1TB which I bought in 2008 formatted to two partitions OS and Games partition.

In 2012 drive broke because of Firmware (famous BSY error) which I fixed with nokia CA-42 cable, HyperTerminal and come code.

As I didn’t trust it any more I bought 240GB Seagate 5400 drive as OS drive and older drive I used as my Games partitions and backup (old OS partition.). And I know bad drive as backup….idiot.

I also have external HDD for OS backup.

Now, few days ago 1TB drive died again PC can see him but capacity is 0 and u can’t access partitions. Because my PC had two BSOD’s I looked in event viewer and I see Warning source: Ntfs message: “The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur.” I tried seatools, short HDD regenerator scan and found a lot of bad sectors. I will try to run through full HDD regenerator scan overnight, but I am sure that disc if gone.

If someone has an advice just write below.

My main question.

So now after all that I am planning to get an SSD for OS and new 1TB drive

And I need a little help I am considering Intel 520 or 530 SSD, and I decided to take 1TB WD black.

I need some help about new drives for SSD I am not locking for speed just reliability. And some information on WD black drives reliability again. I do not trust Seagate any more.

And most important thing as I will be using SSD for OS I need some program for backing up that drive to mechanical dive on shutdown basis. Is it possible to make a clone drive not a image and that program copies changed files only when I shutdown my PC

Thx in advance.
