Who uses this, and what do you use it for? I recently discovered that it makes using a NAS that much easier. I can run things 24/7 without having to connect a keyboard or a mouse. :)

I only really use it for occasionally for like checking on things on my Main PC that can't be seen via other methods.

Stuff like Steam you can get via the mobile app, so I wouldn't need it for that.

Then all my NAS related things, I either use the Torrent server web client, same for Sickbeard/Twonky, or SSH into it to issue commands etc, move files around.

Very rarely use it to connect to my Pi to see what that is doing, but again use SSH most of the time as it doesn't have to have an extra thing running/installed.

I use something simalur to Chrome Remote Desktop.... I use RemoteControl for android, you download the client on your android device then you download the RemoteControlServer on your PC its sets up a lan server its connect just like the Nvidia shield does to play games. Its has several options I mainly use the mouse option because the live screen option if pretty laggy.

I'm assuming you're referring to Chrome Remote Desktop? If so, then ya, I use it all the time. IMO it's the best remote desktop application out there.

Ghod no! He means Windows Remote Desktop aka. RDP, Chrome Remote Desktop is the worse thing on the planet should have its source code text randomized and feed through /dev/null

RDP is great for local control of Windows computers in your local net, please don't use it over the interwebs, you'll be powned very soon after that, or use an encrypted VPN or SSH tunnel.

Thank you for reading.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
