ROG XG27AQ Display Firmware??

FT Poster, LT Lurker. Asus (nor Portrait Displays) has any mention of how to obtain firmware updates for their displays. XG27AQ in particular, even when I have it listed under "My Products" in rog.asus.com when you sign in.

Question: Anyone know where to obtain this firmware, as I have a set of XG27AQ displays and one of them is "MCM203" and the other is "MCM204" versions so there has to be a copy of MCM204 out there. Any help, would be awesome.

Many thanks in advance,

WANLeader

Thanks for your response. I have the drivers from the rog.asus.com website but there are no firmware files to download.

The buttons on the right-side rear of the panels have the buttons you can use to navigate the menu of the display. on the Settings> Information> screen it displays this. (see images below) The last item in this list shows the Firmware version.

I am curious though. What differences are there in 203 and 204, and how much time was there between you buying the two monitors?

Purchased same date but one took about 9 days longer from Amazon. God knows where they were.

I don't gather much is different. Features are largely introduced when it is originally developed. Newer versions of this firmware are likely into the multiple versions past the 203, and 204. Example: MCM211, 212 as these were originally released in 2019. It wouldn't shock me to find the later versions cleaned up the clunky UI or prettied-it up hopefully.

I like LG's keeping up with their older models, the downside is they use HP's WEB OS, and that over the years hasn't aged well at all.

Asus/ROG has the "Display Widget" software that lists "Portrait Displays" in their "System> Check Update" section. Clicking Check Update just takes you to Portrait Displays update website and (I don't think it matters how you get there or what display you used to get there), it's not used for updating anything. I'm sure they don't want anything to do with Asus displays' support.

It appears Display Widget belongs to Portrait Display, outside of Asus/ROG. They wouldn't know anything about Asus firmware. Asus/ROG branded but wholly owned.
