HDD Not Initialized

Go to solution Solved by Radium_Angel,

Given the age of the drive, it's probably simply dead/dying

so I found an old hard drive and it is old and in good physical condition with a capacity of 160GB from Seagate Maxtor Diamond Max 10 model 6L 160M 7200RPM SATA 150, when I try it on another PC the hard drive is not detected but it says HDD Not Initialized and the capacity is 0MB I don't understand  about this because i've never had this happen before but i've tried several ways it still doesn't work either actually i'm just trying to see if this hdd still works if not i just keep it

I think it is dead. Try one of the hard drive monitor or try it is starting up on a Linux live environment.
