So, after my recent am5 upgrade to my personal pc (7700x+strix mobo), the temps haven't been very great mostly because my current case's airflow isn't exactly the best, so I am in the market for a new case. Right now I have my eye on 2 new cases: First of all the Lian Li o11 Dynamic Evo which I really like the look of it while it might be cliche, and it has some of the best airflow on the market along with looks. Right now I can get an open box of it for 143 bucks at my local Microcenter. My other option is the brand new NZXT h9 flow that just released today (for $159.99), and it seems to have better airflow than the o11 which translates to better temps, it also has better cable management, and it comes with 4 pre-installed fans unlike the o11 which has none. although its feature set and looks are not as great as the o11 evo. I know temps matter more, but I am a horrible decision maker so I need some help. Also another thing, I am worried about is that the h9 has no eatx support which is very slightly concerning since it seems that the market is becoming more and more eatx-focued every cpu generation. Thanks for checking out my post and replying if you did and have a great year!

Airflow does matter, but I doubt anything better than O11D would improve cooling performance at all. Just because airflow got better, does not necessarily mean that cooling performance would too, there's a point of diminishing return. Even if the H9 does better, cooling performance difference maybe only 1-3C, I've checked a lot of GN's case reviews, and this is my takeaway.

Anyway, for me personally, I like to look at my PC, I want them to be good looking, so to me, a better looking case matters more than just slightly better airflow. So, between the two, I'd pick the O11D.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.

Thanks for the help! I will try to see some more people's opinions before I decide, but I am leaning towards the o11 right now.
