Hey guys, what would you recommand me for my next upgrade. I use it now for some light/medium gaming( mainly competitive games), some media/movie+series/web surf and CAD( CATIA/SOLIDWORK mainly + some ANSYS,etc)

Current rig:

- Asus Z97 MAXIMUS VII HERO

- i7 4790k stock

- 4 x 4GB RAM DDR3 GSKILL TRIDENT 2400MHz( i use them at stock 1600-1800MHz)

- GTX 1080 G1 GAMING

- SSD+NVME+HDD(this one will not pe upgraded)

- 1440p main display with 144hz

- 4K60Hz second display(occasionaly use it for some games/movie)

- CM Storm trooper full tower

Now, i want to change my way from ATX full tower to ITX or if performance will be limited because of ITX motherboard...i would look at mATX or E-ATX.

I was looking at:
-CPU : i5 13600k or i7 13700k / i never had AMD in my life, but im open to suggestion

- Mobo: Z790 ITX, but i read somewhere that ITX ASRock(i dont want ASRock) have somekind of CPU Power limitati (150w long term/ 250w short term)? so that mean waste of money on powerful CPU because it as drivining a Ferrari limited at 100km/h... if this is true mATX/E-ATX would be acceptable

-GPU: for some times i will still use the GTX1080 but looking forward to upgrade to RTX4080/4090 or who knows... 7900XTX ?

- RAM: some 32GB 4 x 8 or 2 x 16 DDR5 around max 6000mhz

- SSD.NVME,HDD will keep the old one

- CASE(no cubic/square pls :D): so, im looking for some small possible case where i can fit an RTX4080/4090+ ITX or mATX/E-ATX and AiO at leas 240mm (to cool INTEL greedy cpu or hot AMD).

So, to resume, main point  1) small footprint case; 2) run at stock, not OC but no CPU Power limited by motherboard 😕. 3) AiO 240mm cooling for CPU. 4) GPU will be upgraded soon.

Thx, really appreciate!

Budget ?

ITX builds are more expensive overall and harder to build

Plus a 4080/90 is as big as some ITX cases so cramming the first into the second may be difficult...

Anyay, if I were going ITX I'd get a NZXT H1 v2, it ships with a 750W PSU and preinstalled AIO.. Cost > $400 tho...

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones
