Do i need to remove the hdd from the system or can i just plug it in and how can i let steam detect the game files?

What I would do is definitely unplug the game drive, just unplug the SATA cable. That way you know which drive you have to format without remembering which disk the OS is on.

When you reinstall steam, you should be able to add the game library back thru the top left corner of steam where you can redeem a game code.

For 12th and 13th gen Intel CPU's with P and E cores, Windows 11 will be better. For most applications there's not much difference, but some of them are way better on 11 due to the Thread Director.

And should i do a full reinstal of windows going from amd to intel

Definitely format the drive and reinstall Windows. It shouldn't take too long to do anyway from a USB thumb drive onto a SSD and you'll have peace of mind knowing you won't have the previous drivers installed from the AMD system.

Right, you have to format C: drive and reinstall with Windows 11. You use the USB thumb drive to install Windows, unless you're using a CD and optical disk drive to install Windows from.

You're going to have to move any important files and games to another drive before formatting C: drive.

You can keep your games on a HDD, although it will be slower to read from compared to an SSD.

No the ssd is for windows hdd is still for games what do i meed to do to keep all games?

Well then you don't need to do anything as the games are already on the HDD. Back up any important files from the SSD where Windows is located and format C drive when you reinstall Windows.
