Hey guys, so over the holidays my dad gave me his mining PC since it's not really profitable anymore. It has an RTX 2060 but aside from that not really much else I can use.

I have a few of questions on which upgrades I should do:

1. The PC also had an 8GB stick of 2133Mhz RAM and I was wondering if I should get a new 2x8 3200Mhz kit or just slap another 8GB 3200Mhz stick into it. I heard that ram speed doesn't really matter for gaming and after watching the LTT video on mix and matching ram sticks it should work fine(?). Also I don't think it would be easy selling a single 2133Mhz 8GB stick on the used market.

2. I'm planning on using the money I saved on buying a new kit to buy either the Gigabyte B660M DS3H AX or the ASRock B660M Pro RS/ax if it's better to use the old RAM stick and buy another stick as both are at the same price, otherwise I would get a new kit and an ASUS PRIME H610M-A. The ASRock board got worse reviews compared to the Gigabyte one temp wise but the reviews I watched got the results from 12400k's and 12700k's. Would it make much of a difference on a 12100f?

Which option do you think I should go with?

Psu and case?

Basically sell all except gpu and storage here. Then start over.

Ram speed didnt matter 8 years ago nowadays its a major factor.

Whats the upgrade budget?

Don't get any i3, 4c8t won't last long

A 12400F works fine on cheapo b660 pro Rd even it has bad temps on higher end CPU, but 12400 is fine

thanks for the input might be able to squeeze it in the budget
