CAN'T Install purchased ESET NOD32, aways get error. Help plz

CAN'T Install purchased ESET NOD32, always get error MSI.1404

Nothing on ESET's website addresses this, and their forum is terrible.

 

PLEASE, does anyone here know how I can get this installed?

Seems like that error is associated with issues accessing the registry, either adding or deleting keys.

 

Did you previously have an ESET product installed? If so, try running their uninstaller. 

Are you installing from a full administrator account on a person computer? You could attempt creating a new administrator account to complete the install, it could be something with your user account.

If not, try installing in safe mode. You will have to enable some settings which can be found on this article: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000151825/how-to-enable-windows-installer-in-safe-mode
