250D case mod?

kinkywink

would it be possible in some way to mod the front of the 250D to allow for a better option for fans/watercooling?

Honestly if you are going to try to watercool a system in mITX, Caselabs is the way to go. There are so many options, but of course it comes with a price.

I'm sure there would be some way that you could mod the 250D to support more radiators, but it would be a challenge. You'd have to cut metal sheets to fit, and create fan/radiator mounts. It's not impossible, but just really challenging.

how much rad space would be needed for a 290 and a 4670k (both arent overclocked) maybe a 240 and a 120 at a stretch?

You could easily get away with a dual radiator no problems. I mean, the hottest card to EVER hit the market is cooled by a 120mm radiator. Keep that in mind.

I think if you're watercooling, you need to overclock, but it's your rig so do as you wish.

You should be able to cool everything sufficiently with a dual 140mm radiator (280 rad) or a triple 120mm rad (360mm rad)

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

you can get away with wc in the 250d but bear in mind that you won't be able to run at extremely low fan rpms since you might not have enough rad space (not sure tho)

slim 240 rad and maybe a thick 140 rad in the front if you can squeeze it in.

If you really have to, use the 2x80mm mounts at the back?  :P

you dont need to do any mods. you can fit a 140mm x 60mm radiator in the front, and a 240mm x 30mm. That should be fine for watercooling a gpu and cpu.
