GPU output to usb-c

Hi, guys.

 I have a asus zenbook um45ug, and it has two usb-c ports(they both support dp alt mode) and a hdmi port and a igpu and a nvidia geforce mx450. i want to know which port connects to my nvidia gpu. in my nvidia set physx configuration there is no port that connects to the nvidia gpu. i tried every port and the result was the same. is there simply no ports that connect to the nvidia gpu? or is there sth that i have to enable?

if there is no port that connects to the nvidia gpu, then what is the point of having a dedicated gpu?

Have you tried doing WinKey+P and selecting "Extend"? By the way all laptops without mux switch will display image through iGPU due to the way they are wired in. Processing can be done on Nvidia GPU but image will passthrough AMD iGPU before it can be displayed, that doesnt mean you use iGPU solely.

yes. displays are already extended. the problem is that none of the ports connect to the nvidia gpu and i just want to know whether it's normal or i'm just missing sth?

from what i search no that laptop doesnt have port that connected to the nvidia gpu

from my experience with my old laptop that has nvidia GT930M the dGPU on these kind of laptop is more for boosting performance during heavier task or task that perform better using dGPU or playing game since iGPU back then can barely play any game.

I went and look it up and it seems you are right. I stressed the gpu and the nvidia gpu kicked in.
