So I just built a new rig from scratch, my old one was a pre-built from like 6 or 7 years ago. I got the corsair 5000x case, Z690-E motherboard, 3070TI, I got 2 sticks of 16gb DDR5 5,200mhz c40 ram from corsair. Well then I wifey got me 2 sticks of RGB 16gb DDR5 5,600mhz c36 ram from corsair. I pulled out the 5200mhz and put in the 2 5600mhz and overclocked them to 6,000mhz. Can I put the 2 5200mhz in the other channel or will that screw everything up? And don't even get me started with icue software. That is complete garbage.

I think you are going to mess up your overclock. You can try it.. it won't hurt anything. The worst is you will experience random restarts or failure to boot.. not the end of the world.

icue is better than nearly every other software out there. It doesn't let you OC the memory though? It just lets you change RGB. I'm surprised you're not complaining about armoury crate from ASUS. Talk about a dumpster fire lol

The icue was a seperate thing. I cant get any profile to stay. I change the lighting for my ram and then click on my h150i AIO and my ram goes back to white. I set my AIO to the colors and screen I want, and go to fans and then my AIO goes back to stock. And nothing saves. It always reverts to white.

And im not good with the whole bios thing and took me forever to overclock the ram and to overclock my cpu. I have the i9 12900k and I managed to overclock it with only 1 6pin connected since my power supply only has 1 6 pin for the cpu. But it went from 25k on cinebench to 28.5k after overclocking the cpu. I'm not sure if it's bad that I don't have the other 6 pin. But it runs and I haven't had any issues.
