I found out last night that my ram may not support my mobo. While my mobo does have my ram on its QVL. The RAM's website says I would need the 2 x 8GB 3600 cl18 of the same RAM (does that mean I can't have 4 sticks). Can I fix this with timings or should I just look into new RAM. Id also like it to be compatible with a ryzen 8 5800x3d for when I upgrade it eventually.

When I originally enabled DOCP, I started getting BSODs. I Adjusted FCLK which helped at first but I eventually got another BSOD. But now even with DOCP off I am getting huge swings in FPS, which was not happening originally (I just recently built this PC). Could this be related to my RAM?

Could but doesn’t have to be a ram issue, usually if something is wrong with the ram the pc won’t boot at all. However if you thing the motherboard or the communication between motherboard and ram could be at fault here, try a bios update. Usually a board doesn’t just say no to ram. The most recent bios should allow your board to use your ram if it fits and is actually compatible on a hardware level. What motherboard and ram are you using?
