Can anyone explain to me, why older apartments have a higher chance for mouse delays to occur? I've had mouse delay for around 4 years now maybe, i was going to lan in my friends apartment and the mouse delay disappeared. This is mostly a question, but i think it fitted in the gaming tab.

Edit: Oh, nevermind. Just saw OP's reply. Ignore below. Wired mouse lag in one place, but not another? Same computer though? That's very odd.

Yeah, wasn't clear to me either, but I assume so? If so, then all sorts of things can cause issues. If there's no real physical barrier between your mouse and PC (like walls, etc) then wireless interference is the most common thing. Proximity to the router, etc...

I had a heck of a time trying to use a wireless mouse/keyboard at my current place (after using them flawlessly for years), and finally had to give up and go wired. I literally had a usb extension cord, and had the dongle next to me on the couch and still had issues. Multiple KB/M with varying quality. There's just something in my living room they didn't like.

I never use wireless stuff beside headset. It's just super weird that a bad apartment can cause mouse delay overall, i just don't see the logic XD. This happens in every room, that's why i tried my pc in my friends apartment which fixed it completely.

Did this lag return when you got back home from your friend's house?

No, the people who work here, never comes here to check on things, even if we ask them pretty much impossible, i'm not blaming them but i think it's pretty much a need for them to check. Also this apartment only supports internets with telephone jack which is pretty outdated from my understanding, we're planning on moving from here so hopefully that fixes the issue.
