Can't keep my budget with Intel. I would totaly buy an FX processor if they had a decent M-ATX gaming board.

kinda would be nice to know what gaming titles you are concerned with. although

the itch to use a lesser expensive platform sounds good, different titles need different

different hardware configs.

 

APU= APU, MOBO, fast RAM ($$$) and possible discrete GPU.

CPU= CPU,MOBO, RAM, discrete GPU

mATX is becoming the new ATX tho. I could run my system in a mATX case and I have an SLI setup and stuff.

I plan on getting a R9 270X from MSI and some Gigabyte 2400MHZ 8GB ram on sale. I will be playing lots and lots of modded minecraft (high settings), some Titanfall (no less then medium settings), Skyrim (IDK, Skyrim always looks good to me), and some BF4 (medium settings).

why not get a m-atx for now with the fx 6300...its better at stock than the 760k...and has more overclocking potential...but ya u will not be able to take full advantage in oc...

Only decent M-ATX AM3+ mobo only supported 1333MHZ ram and only 8gbs of it. I'm getting 2400MHZ on sale, can't turn that down.

You can get compact ATX cases that are only a couple inches taller.
