External SSD not formatting

Drive doesn't allow any other formating other than fast formatting with exFat...

I started formatting empty 4Tb ssd, and nothing seems to be happening and no progress bar is filling...

 

The drive storage in explorer changed from 3,8Tb available to this:

And the format window is stuck like this:

should I hit cancel and try it with fast formatting enabled?

 

should I try Fat32 instead?
