Fortnite using 100% of 2060, but at 1fps and temps are 60 degrees

Doomsday1068

The issue is in the title, normally i average around 70-90 fps in fortnite depending on my settings but sometimes mid match the game starts using 100% gpu and fps dips anywhere from 5 to 1, but temps are 60 to mid 50s, why is this happening and how could i fix it?

if you have a second monitor i'd suggest checking task manager when this happens to see if anything is running that you're not expecting.
otherwise Ctrl+Shift+Esc to pull up task manager when this happens (sorry if you die in game)

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

you're running Win11..... it's still got issues with driver support for now.
also, you should chill out on those firefox tabs.
