Best Remote Desktop/Access Software?

Due to the nature of my work I need to access my main Windows workstation at home (in a different country within EU) from my MacBook M1 for lighter "task-based" tasks (not streaming video and such).
I will be accessing my machine for prolonged periods of time (multiple hours at a time).

Any good recommendations?

Anydesk would be my recommendation. Been daily driving it for a few months and it has never failed me once. Just connect to the machine and everything works, quite smoothly too.

I used TeamViewer in the past but encountered a few instances of the host software failing to take in a connection, which I could never pin down why.

A VPN and Remote Desktop (RDP).

for work - THIS.

unless your work involves photo or video editing, RDP is just simply the way to go for remote workstation access.
