That’s something you’d want to watch reviews of both laptops for.  Very few people buy multiple laptops.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Usually the bigger thae laptop, the better its cooling. Death from heat will only occur after like 10 years or more becuase you won't have the components at their thermal limit (which laptops just are, that's the way they are. If they wanted to keep the temps under control, laptops with i5s and 3050s would be as chunky as Laptops with i7s and RTX 3080s are). But generally, Intel CPUs get hotter than AMD ones and AMD is more efficient and will give you more battery life.

I don't recommend any of the MSI's, the models you've listed are known for really bad build quality and/or running extremely hot/throttled.

The TUF A15, if it's the most recent model could be a good option, they've improved a lot of issues the older models had.

The Acer Nitro is also the new model, which has had improvements, but it'll still be a more budget option.
