I have a ryzen 7 5700x and a msi mag b550 tomahawk and whenever i plug in my pc, the light for the cpu is on. The cpu is in but i don’t know why the light is on. Does anyone have a solution to this?

You need to update the BIOS before installing this CPU.

How do i update the BIOS?

1. Download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from the MSI® website:

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK/support#bios

2. Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM, and save it to the root of your USB flash drive.

3. Plug the USB flash drive that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS Port on the rear I/O panel.

4. Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED starts flashing.

5. The LED will be turned off when the process is completed.

Just wait for the light to turn off.

Also it's important that the USB drive will be formatted as FAT32.
