I recently upgraded to Gigabit fibre at my home. When I run a speedtest on my pc (connected with ethernet) I get about 900 to 980 megabits per second, so about 100 to 120 megabytes per second.

But when I download a game on Steam,Xbox app or even Ea App, my download speed doesn't break past 60 megabytes per second. Also the download speed fluctuates alot , it is 60 one second then it drops to 12 and then back to 40 and so on.

I did update Windows 11 to the latest version and I updated my ethernet drivers, but still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

you can have 1TB/s internet, the server that stores the game can only send files as fast as it can, buying faster internet won't speed it up..
