One does not simply expect to get a gaming PC for $400, unless 20 FPS at 800x600 is fine with you. I'd rather get a console for that budget.

You are kind of crazy... I will make a pcpartpicker for him, and even a PC in that budget will be awesome, i play games like cod4 on 300 dollar laptop on 1280x720 on 45 fps, so why wouldn't he?

Sorry, my standards are a lot higher than many of you budget PC builders.

Your build going 23$ over budget and does not have upgrade ability.

Because 23$ are so much. Save your pennies. Also how exactly is the one you made more upgradeable? APU+GPU does not work correctly and would add another 100$ down the line.

unless 20 FPS at 800x600 is fine with you

That's the one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard. You can actually play modern games at 1080p at med-high settings with decent FPS on a 400$ budget. You just need to know how to spend it.

Yes it's ugly, yes it has hardly any storage. But it has plenty of RAM, CPU and GPU power to run 1080p games at med-high settings and absolutely crushes a console. You can sacrifice gaming performance for a more well rounded system, but if it's pure GPU horse power you're after, then this is what you want ;)

EDIT: Moved it around a bit and fit an HDD twice as big.

I was just exaggerating, but I play BF4 at 1080p ultra so that's why I spent $2100 CAD on my rig. I guess I underestimated the AMD APU.

Who said anything about APUs? Look at the build I posted above. The 750ti comfortably plays BF4 on high at 1080p, so not as far off from your 2100$ build as you would think ;)

And while we're comparing game settings, I play BF4 on Ultra at 5760x1080 at 60+ FPS with 2 watercooled titans, how does that take away from me appreciating a budget build? You underestimate budget PCs way too much :D

35 FPS is horrible, because I've spent 3 years playing at 20 FPS. It's time to enjoy 60.

*SIGH* whatever dude.... (35 is min, 47 is AVG, which is quite playable, even online)

Since we're just nitpicking at each other's arguments at this point, I took a look at your specs on your profile, your system is nowhere near 2100$, no clue where you pulled that number from. It's more like 1300-1400$. So even your PC is more budget than you think.

Oh, right. I forgot my power supply. It's a Corsair TX650M. And my peripherals are Ducky Zero Shine and ROCCAT Kova+ and mousepad and headset AND MY MONITOR. All brought from one store which obviously meant I spent more than what I would've if I were to buy from each separate store, but it's a hassle so I just stuck with NCIX. Newegg and Canada Computers and got everything there. Also extra fans and LED light strips that I didn't bother including in Custom Parts.
