Most def the CPU first, 2080 is still decent for now, either 13600K but a bit over budget (or go with DDR4 to be cheaper) or 7700X.

I'd say DDR5 is the way to go since there's a chance that your next upgrade could still reuse the DDR5 RAMs. My personal choice is 13600KF, because it is a gaming beast.

Or reuse the RAM and go with 5800X3D.

Thanks! This is something i can work with.

couple of questions come up. In thinking to go with the first. So to swap to DDR5 would you advice to also step over to Windows 11 with because of the 13th gen or stick to windows 10?

if i could squeeze my budget should i then go for the i7 13700k? And if so would the rest stay the same?

currently have a 700W power supply should this still be enough for both considering builds?

thanks again 🙂

Honestly, win 11 is not as bad as people say it is, and it has better scheduler for e-cores, so yes, go with win 11.

13700k is way more power hungry than 13600k, at this point I'd say a good AIO is needed, my personal recommendation is Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 or 360.

700W PSU should still be enough, 13700k peak power draw is around 250W, while gaming maybe less than 200W, 2080 peak is 215W, so yes it is enough.

I'm sorry but I'd rather not, I only surf LTT forum at work to kill time, so I'd rather not be bothered outside of work time.

Anyway, this forum would be much more helpful than me, just post another thread with specific questions.

Agreed. win 11 is not so bad. been using it for a year now and I do feel like I like win 11 better, but I still hate the new settings/control panel. but its mostly a set it once and leave it thing so its fine. installing powertoy and explorer patcher helps make it more customizable.

RELOAD BEFOR QUOTING. I EDIT MY POST ALOT!

MARK MY POST AS THE ANSWER IF I HELPED.
