Hey i'm kinda new to the mechanical keyboard...so uhh I don't know what keyboard to buy, there are a lot of them and they're quite tempting. Any recommendation for me? I prefer an wireless keyboard - or maybe detachable cable, with usb dongle (donge??) for wireless, linear switch cuz I don't want to make noise in my office, plastic or metal body is fine but they need to be sturdy. I do play some games but not that heavy, I mainly focus on typing. Tks for the help!!!

I bought a red dragon myself on the grounds that it was the cheapest thing I could find that had replacable switches.  Should be even cheaper than rubber dome in the long run. It was wired though.  I find wireless often annoying myself.  I bought a wireless keyboard long ago, but I find it has little value as I rarely use it across the room. For controllers though wireless is quite handy.  I got a solar powered wireless keyboard once thinking it would solve the annoyance issue.  It died anyway.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Redragon is a good budget option that usually comes with hotswap feature.
Hotswap = you can unplug the mechanical switches and replace it without desoldering and soldering it back.

The switches they use is mostly Outemu, some models uses Redragon proprietary switch based and made by outemu.

If you are just starting using mech keyboards, chances are you won't notice any difference with Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, etc. Especially if it's just the red linear switches.

I am using one myself, although I picked the not really cheap model, mainly because it has almost the same height as my old cheap logitech.

There are several.  I got a 10keyless but which had the ancillary buttons so 60%, 80%?  Not sure.  It works.  I never learned 10key so I Didn't have much use for the number pad.  There might also be wireless ones.  Mine was like $30 or something.  I don’t remember.

Derp.  I somehow thought that was from the OP.  Dunno why.
