Hey lads,

So after 4 years with my old Hardware I decided to spend myself an Upgrade.

My Hardware so far is:

Mainboard: Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H

CPU:           AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3.8 GHz (I could Overclock it to 4.0 GHz but its a huge effort and I think it isnt much of a difference)

Graphics:   Gainward GeForce GTX 570 WTF (I Mounted a Alpenföhn Peter on it with 2 Noctua NF-F12 just for silence and additional cooling due to overclocking)

RAM:          8 Gigabytes of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM (Im not into video rendering etc. so 8 Gigs is just fine for me)

Case:         Corsair Graphite 600T

PSU:           Thermaltake Smart M750W (750W obviously)

For Upgrades I thought of either:

-A 4770K with a ASUS Z87-A (C2) Mainboard

-Or a R9 280X

So what do you guys think makes more sense to upgrade or do you have better ideas what I should do?

I live in Germany and have about 400€ of Budget.

Thanks in advance! :)

a 570 WTF? :D Where did you get that?

I would wait for Z97 CPUs to release and then get the highest i5 together with either a 780 or a 290.

Edit: Just read you only have 400€ now. In that case get an aftermarket 290.

Either: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-Gigabyte-Radeon-R9-290-Windforce-3X-OC-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_946581.html

Or for 780

his budget doesnt allow that, the 780 alone is already above his budget

yeah but thats not worth it imho when you only have a 570. I had it once to and it just doesnt cut it anymore for decent gaming at 1080p or higher.

I dont see why you would upgrade from 4670k to 4770k either oO

I mainly use it for gaming but don't plan to go to higher resolutions than 1080p though. I just want to play upcoming titles like Watch Dogs and so on on Ultra with 60+ fps to show my peasant friends how gaming should be.

yeah you should buy at least a 280x/770 then. Maybe oc your cpu to 4.0 anyways so it can keep up.
