Hello, i am upgrading my pc and i am having problems, because i don´t know anything about pc´s apart from the general aspects.

So my main problem is that i don´t have a dedicated GPU i have one integrated in the CPU and well, is absolutely trash for gaming, i finally have money so i decided to finally

make an upgrade to my old pc and buying and integrated GPU, my current CPU is a I5 3330.

I´ve seen a post here about the same topic of mine, but they were recommending the person to buy rx 470 (it also was an old post from 2017) and i don't really wanna buy a second hand GPU, i don't wanna get scammed.

So i ask:

What (new) GPU should i buy for my I5 3330 in 2022 for less than 125€?

Thanks in advance!

You could get an RX 580 for about 80€ new but you would have to buy it from China via AliExpress so make sure to buy one with a decent number of reviews and you should be fine.

There are better GPUs that you might be able to get for 125€ but the CPU will probably bottleneck them so the RX 580 should be a good match for your CPU and save you some money

You might even be able to pick up an Intel Xeon E3-1270 v2 for about 45€ which is quite a bit faster than the I5-3330 and should work with your motherboard (try and cheak first through if you can). That in combination with the RX 580 should give you a lot more gaming performance than you have right now (but it still will be quite a bit behind newer components so dont expect anything amazing)

System: AMD R7 5700g (OC to 4.45GHz fixed clock) / Noctua NH-D15 / Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 / Gigabyte Waterforce WB RTX 2080 Ti / Crucial 4x8GB DDR4 (OC to 3800MHz Cl16) / 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus / Corsair 4000D airflow / Corsair TX650M / BenQ Mobius EX2510 24.5" 1080p 144Hz

The RX 470 is still a good card. It doesn't expire like Milk does.

It may not be the best value per dollar however.

If you can save up more, I don't know the European Market, but the RTX 3060  from NVIDIA and the AMD RX 6600 are about $300~US right now.
That is triple your budget, but will last you a dang long time.

Unfortunately I haven't seen a "GT 1030" for the subsequent generations, so your best bet is either finding a good deal, shopping old, risking used, or saving up.
I think some RX 6500s might be in the $100 range, but might be in the upper $100 range at least in the US.

An RX 6400 is probably the closest fit to an updated GT 1030, and can be had for about 150€. Its a bit slower than an RX 580 at double the price although it does have the benifit of being recently released so its available new without having to get it from AliExpress and will have driver support for longer.

without a CPU upgrade (and probably also a motherboard and ram upgrade) these would be heavily bottlenecked by an I5-3330, no point in going higher than an RX 6400 if buying somthing recently released (in my opinion)

RX 580 still kicks butt at 1080p. Like... awesome value for those that got it.
RX6400 should be great for 1080p gaming.

You can worry about the CPU later, and "future proof" your rig a little in the graphics department.
When you get a few more dollars, you can get a new CPU and motherboard later.

I wouldn't stress it.

I don´t really trust places like AliExpress or Ebay so i prefer to spend a little bit more and buy a new card than risk it and buy it from on of those places. I have seen a rx 580 8gb DX12 for about 160€ second hand in a place i trust a little bit more, idk if thats a good price.

Thanks! hahaha.

Anything is a improvement over my current setup, like i´ve never in my entire life played a game in pc more new than half life over 20 fps xD.

I prefer to stick to my budget, because i don´t have that much money now, probably in the future i will build a new pc from scratch, but for now im glad to be able to play CSGO hahah.

In my country i could only find those for about 200€+. The only things that i can find for about my budget and in stock (second hand, but from a pc store famous in my country with good reputation) are RX 550 and GT 1030 or then i have the RX 580 (second hand, but from and all second hand chain store)

Before considering a GPU upgrade, you need to establish what your system can support. To that end, what PSU do you have and how much room is there in the case for a GPU card?

400W, the case is pretty big, so i have space.

Right now i only want to be able to play something with my friends other than minecraft at 20 fps, later i will most surely buy a new pc.

Thanks for all the answers!! i really appreciate it.

No worries.

If you just want to play counter strike, basically anything from Nvidia that's like a GTX 750 or bigger GTX number will work great.

As for best price to performance, list some cards that are in your budget on some eu stores you trust, maybe Amazon or whatever the European equivalent of new egg and micro center are and their price and we can see if we can't find the best card for the money.

I finally saw a RX 580 4gb second hand for 125€ and decided to buy it, I haven’t installed it yet. Idk exactly If it was a great price for this card, but we’ll, at least i’m covered for 3 years with the guarantee of the shop i bought in on.

Awesome.

If you have any troubles like PC shutting down, check your power supply can support it.
