Hi all.

So, Twitch is not something I am looking for here but I am looking fo something easier. Basically I want to do a podcast that allows me to "accept" joinee's into the call (similar to meetings like Zoom for example) and be able to stream to different platforms like youtube, facebook etc...

What do you recommend for software to do this? Ideally want to make it easy for non-tech savvy people.

There's no single software for this. Even Twitch is not software, but service like Youtube and Facebook. So to get terms correct, there are 3 parts:

  • Call software. For example Zoom, Teams, Hangouts, Discord.
  • Streaming/recording software. For example OBS, XSplit, Streamlabs.
  • Video streaming service. For example Youtube, Facebook, Twitch.

Of video streaming services, Youtube offers built-in studio for doing it. Twitch and Facebook also support doing it directly on mobile app.

In short, there's no way for doing this for someone who hardly knows how to use tech and software. At basics (Streamlabs to Twitch/YT and Discord which is what most streamers do), it requires moderate understanding of tech. So there could be show made with a tech that handles the setup and hosts only need to know how to setup their own side.

Easier way for doing podcast (only audio) would be to use any audio recording software and upload the end result only.
