what makes a good projector

So in in the market for a projector to watch movies on and play games.  i did a little research and i think i want a 1080 (1500 lumen at least) 

i really dont want to spend more than $400 USD

 

any suggestions?

Personally I would never spend under 1000 dollars on a projector

I currently own a 8700UB from Epson

Contrast is very important for me

I enjoy good colors and clarity. I hate it when the colors are washed out and you can see individual pixels on the screen.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Im sorry, but I know nothing bout projectors. There might be some other members on the forum who might be very helpful though.
