What are the specs of the two systems?

 

Taking a shot in the dark, your old Windows install is likely legacy, and the new motherboard is probably setup with secure boot and UEFI mode by default. So try changing those settings.

 

Do you have any others drives aside from this single M.2 SSD?

Yeah just tried it went from an MSI H270 Motherboard to an ASUS B660M. The ASUS one was setup with UEFI Mode changing to legacy worked. Thanks.
