Correct. But it's physically able to put into another case if you so desire.

The A520 chipset isn't unlocked for overclocking support. X and B chipset series are.

I was planning on buying a budget prebuilt gaming pc from the manufacturer named IPASON.

This PC has a motherboard by the name of the PRO A520M-C - Micro-ATX AMD A520 Business Motherboard. (link at the bottom)

As far as I know, this motherboard cannot be overclocked, and has a basic, non-customizable BIOS. It will be fitted with an unlocked Ryzen 5 5600G. However, it cannot be overclocked with this BIOS.

Is it possible to flash a BIOS from the likes of gaming brands and then be able to overclock at that point? Oh, and is this motherboard capable of being fitted into a different case, (proprietary/ non proprietary) if repairs are necessary?

Thanks

No. The chipset is not capable of doing it. Better get a B550 if you want overclocking capabilities.

Well, there are proprietary micro atx mobos that dont work with any other setup *cough dell cough*, so I was wondering if that was an issue with this.

I am confused with how you used "chipset". My "chipset" is unlocked. I am aware of the B550, but I thought you could do that with most AMD cpus. Can you elaborate?

Edit: in order for me to not look like a total idiot, I'm just gonna say that I was not aware of the differences of the definitions of "chip" and "chipset", so i can look like a partial idiot.
